Responsibly sourced fish and seafood dinner specialties that have been cooked to perfection: octopus tacos, clam soup, and grilled lobster (only during lobster fishing season) are just some of the dishes on the menu. You can also enjoy the breakfast buffet service at the restaurant with a wide variety of breads, cereals, eggs, fruit, etc.

Take a walk amongst the hotel’s mangroves and find out more about how important they are in protecting our planet. The mangroves absorb 10 times more carbon dioxide than terrestrial forests, helping to combat climate change. They are characteristic of tropical areas and protect coastlines from the wind and waves. At Iberostar, we are protecting mangroves and planting more around our hotels in the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana. This is just one of the actions we are taking as part of our Wave of Change movement.
The different pool areas, two of which are private, are one of the most popular features among our guests. Aquafun* has 7 water slides with a combined length of about 200 feet: 4 turbo racers, 1 stuka, 1 aquatube, and 1 open slide. The wave pool runs frequently for kids and adults alike to have fun. The perfect place to unwind is the Lazy River, where you can let the current whisk you away, surrounded by vegetation. You can unwind even more in the whirlpool bath, relax on the Balinese beds, get in shape in the athletic pool, or have fun while enjoying a drink at the Aqua bar and participating in the activities prepared by the entertainment team. Our youngest guests have a splash pool all to themselves so they can enjoy the water more than ever.
The children’s activity program Star Camp is a total hit with the families staying in the hotel. The program is divided into age groups (children under 3 years old must be accompanied by an adult) where children can learn to cook at the mini-chef kitchen, put themselves to the test on the multi-adventure course, play video games, discover the importance of caring for the environment in Starky’s garden with puppet and recycling workshops, bounce on the trampolines and much more.
In addition, as part of the Wave of Change sustainability program, the outdoor play area at Star Camp has been created with more than 7.17 tons of recycled plastic, equivalent to about 32,500 1.3-gallon jugs, which saves about 65 trees worth of wood.
The youngest members of the household can enjoy the Star Camp children’s pool, the wave pool or the carousel, or even pretend they’re pirates or sailors as they play on the slides at the Aqua Fun pool.
Buffet-style restaurants feature a kid’s menu; our kitchens are equipped to serve baby food, and babysitting services are also available.
The SPA Sensations main indoor pool features enormous windows on all sides. The vibe in this adults-only area of the hotel exudes total calm and relaxation, and the services available are virtually endless, offering various specialized massages (Thai, hot stone, energizing, Swedish…) and a host of beauty treatments and well-being services.
You’ll have access to a fitness center (for guests aged 16 or older) that offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment and machines. You’ll also have a cycling studio offering daily classes, and two multi-sport rooms where you have the chance to try yoga, Zumba, kickboxing, body pump, boot camp, and more. All activities are led by certified instructors.
You can also do water sports by the beach, some of which are free of charge for the first hour, such as kayaking, sailing on a catamaran, snorkeling or windsurfing.
The Iberostar Playa Paraíso Golf Club is located right on the premises, making it incredibly easy to enjoy a round of golf without needing to leave the complex. To top it off, the course’s 18 holes are set against a marvelous backdrop of lush natural surroundings, for an even more pleasant golfing experience.
Our Star Friends entertainment team organizes activities all day long, making it easy to enjoy yourself. This is something our guests point out and one of the best memories that they take home with them after their vacation. Fun activities such as bingo or board games, sports games in the activity pool—including Wibit floating water parks—as well as the professional shows put on each night to make sure both kids and adults have a blast: magic, juggling, music, and dance for all audiences.
Dressel Drivers is the hotel’s professional diving center, where classes and outings are organized. You can dive into the underwater museum of art, visit sunken ships, and starfish shoals while diving with sea turtles or whale sharks, in natural wells, or in reef parks…The turquoise blue Riviera Maya attracts both experienced and novice divers from the world over.
